Dr. Moser Presents New Research on Female Concussions at the North American Brain Injury Society

Dr. Moser presents new research on female concussions at the North American Brain Injury Society and PINK 5, International Summit of Female Brain Injury in Houston on March 16, 2018. This is ground breaking concussion research on over 11,000 cases that shows that the pattern of differences between males and females, which has been documented that females seem to be more vulnerable, more symptomatic, and have more complaints than males, is NOT the case in the pre-adolescent 10–12 year old group. These results lend support to the hypothesis that hormonal changes may be the reason that women in the adolescent and older groups experience more symptoms than males.

Dr. Moser with colleagues and Dr. Alan Ashare, medical advisor to USA Hockey.
